HELP FOR HEROES 4x4 EUROPEAN RALLY - June 19th-29th 2010 (http://www.h4hrally.co.uk) The HELP FOR HEROES 4x4 EUROPEAN RALLY 2010 will start at Noon on Saturday 19th June 2010 at a secret location in North Wiltshire. After using byways on Salisbury Plain we will all go to Portsmouth to embark on the ferry over to France. It will be a 1650 mile/2640 km expedition encompassing 6 countries in 10 days, this non-speed event comprising a maximum of 30+ teams will be part history tour, fun competition, part off-road driving and part club-type social, open to all types of 4x4 vehicles. The money raised by teams will be donated to our chosen charity, HELP FOR HEROES (http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk). The HELP FOR HEROES 4x4 EUROPEAN RALLY 2010 follows the path and tells the story of the Allied Invasion through Europe and includes parts fabled by the Band of Brothers book and television series. As young men, who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear, the Allied Forces landed in France early on D-Day morning – 6th June 1944. The liberation of Europe had commenced. If you are interested in joining us on our own epic journey, and want to raise funds for HELP FOR HEROES , please take a look at the website; http://www.h4hrally.co.uk for all the details. If you want further information please use the ‘Contact’ page of the website and we’ll get back to you. Just a quick update - due to places started to fill up, and also having an immense amount of interest in the H4H 4x4 Rally, we are happy to announce that we are upping the limit of entrants to 40 vehicles/teams (entrants after that will go on to a reserve list). Please remember that the places available are based on a 'first come, first served' basis
Also more GREAT NEWS !!! The H4H 4x4 EUROPEAN RALLY page now has a page on the official 'Help for Heroes' Website! Feel free to have a look..... http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/4x4_europe...enge_rally.html -------------------- Tim/h4hrally

Hey Tim,
Sounds like an interesting event- can you tell us more about who you guys are (ie who's organising it), and what level of offroading you expect to do? There are a fair few of us here who like to offroad abroad, but don't want just dirt tracks. Jim |

Hiya guys,
I am happy to post the 4x4 info that I PM'd Jim (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE Re:4x4 aspect - In view of distances and time we have some green lanes, 2-3 'play sites' and some long hauls (including driving through Salisbury Plain on the 1st day) hence the need for 4x4 but there is the historic element to the event + of course the charity fundraising. Hope this helps (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Tim -------------------- Tim/h4hrally

Can't of been that successful as H4H hasn't logged on since Aug 09. So perhaps they are still driving around trying to find the way home.
Had a quick chat with a H4H fundraiser at work and he'd heard nothin -------------------- Mark

Knowing Tim (H4H) they probably found a nice bar in the mountains and lost track of time !
Just looked at Tims Forum ...H4Hrally, they are home ( nearly a month ago !) -------------------- Stay away from my ring, I'm not that kind of Landrover owner !
